The Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge located on the Ranger’s Road in the Epping Forest is one of my favourite places to visit whenever I have the time. Today I am testing my new gadget. I just got new 360˚ digital camera. Because according to my children, I am embarrassing when I start taking 360 photos with my mobile phone. I got a Ricoh Theta S. One press of the button and I am done taking my photo and not 16 times.

That is the image I made from today. The great thing is I am able to edit it to improve the colours. Being a small device, the images are understandably not as good as my Olympus or any other the interchangeable lens cameras. This is a recording device to be viewed on the computer, tablet or smart phones. The best thing is it is perfect for group selfies. Which I am hoping to try to soon with a group of friends. It should be quite fun to not squeeze together to fit in the screen.
With the current social climate, I sometimes feel it’s not a great idea anymore to bring my big bag with the cameras while out and about alone. With this new gadget, if I just want a record of where I am, I only need one shot and I got a big picture with everything around me. It looks like a small remote control so it is perfect for when discretion is required.
Anyway, there are still techniques I need to learn to fully utilise the potential of this camera so, until next post.
